Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Galen Tyrol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Springfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyrol comes to the cage accompanied by Eye Of The Tiger. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyrol feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tyrol prevents Springfield from getting back to his feet.
Tyrol passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Tyrol tries for a kimura but Springfield is defending well.
Springfield is pushing Tyrol's head away, looking to escape. Tyrol manages to hold on to the position though.

Springfield throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tyrol tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tyrol has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
