The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lynch's guard now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Lynch dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Lynch's head and hops out.

Johnson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lynch can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lynch takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lynch wants to control but Johnson is having none of it.

Lynch is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Johnson gets his way!

Lynch tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Johnson has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Lynch is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
