Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Tilden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Tilden looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tilden dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tilden lands a jab to Jaa's midsection.
Jaa lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Tilden misses with a hook
and Jaa counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tilden is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Tilden misses with a lunging right hand
and Jaa counters with a left to the body.
Tilden throws a looping overhand right but Jaa ducks down to avoid it.

Tilden scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jaa sneaks back into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tilden wants to stand up but Jaa has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Jaa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tilden pulls his head out easily.

Tilden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jaa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tilden is working away from the top position though.

and Tilden takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tilden looks to land a left hand but Jaa moved out of range nicely.

Tilden is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Jaa's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Tilden throws the left hand but Jaa avoids the punch easily.

and Jaa counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Tilden is breathing heavily.

Tilden looks to score with a jab to the body but Jaa is just out of range.

Tilden throws a lazy right hand but Jaa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Tilden leaves Jaa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jim Tilden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Jaa.
Jaa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tilden on the side of the head.
Tilden slaps away a takedown attempt from Jaa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jaa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tilden.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Jim Tilden will probably get the nod.

and Jaa counters with a head kick that wobbles Tilden - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Jaa sends him down. This one is all over!
