Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gerwazy Guz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guz comes to the cage accompanied by Alice in Chains - Nutshell. Gerwazy Guz had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Gerwazy Guz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes swings and misses with a shot to the body
enabling Guz to counter with a crisp jab.

Mendes swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Guz.

Guz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Mendes might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Guz takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jake Mendes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Mendes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
