Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dan Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jokke Mela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mela has chosen Da Rockwilder as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Morgan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mela gets a double leg takedown into Morgan's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morgan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mela passes into half guard.
Morgan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mela seems to be working for a kimura but Morgan defends the submission attempt.
Morgan is pressing down on Mela's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Mela must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Morgan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mela gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Morgan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mela is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mela wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.

Morgan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mela doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mela manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mela with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Morgan has his foot on Mela's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mela works his way back into a safe position though.

Mela avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mela passes Morgan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mela wants to pass to mount but Morgan is defending the position.
Mela looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Morgan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Morgan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Morgan has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Mela. Oh but Morgan has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Mela goes limp - he's gone! Morgan jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
