The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikhasevich slips a jab and a cross from Swanson.

Mikhasevich shoots for a double leg takedown but Swanson sprawls well. He's pushed Mikhasevich's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Swanson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mikhasevich has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Mikhasevich fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Swanson avoids it really well and circles away.

In his post fight interview, Gennady Mikhasevich started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
