The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ejogo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Severn as he jumps to the side.
Severn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Severn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Severn wants to control but Ejogo is keeping him busy.
Ejogo with the active half guard here but Severn passes nicely into side control.
Severn grinds an elbow into Ejogo's temple.
Severn cracks Ejogo with a big elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Severn cracks Ejogo with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Severn immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Ejogo is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Severn!
