The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Rivera.
Rivera takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Abbandando shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rivera throws a series of punches but Abbandando moves out of range.
Abbandando ducks under a wild hook from Rivera.
Rivera digs a good body shot into Abbandando's ribs.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rivera connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rivera misses with the combination.
Abbandando misses with a kick to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Abbandando.
A big left from Rivera misses.
Abbandando dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rivera. That did some damage!
Rivera looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Abbandando fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rivera looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Abbandando lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That kick from Abbandando tenderised Rivera's leg. Rivera is trying to keep his angry face on.
Abbandando thumps Rivera with a low kick.
Abbandando throws an overhand right that has Rivera reeling! Abbandando follows up with more punches and Rivera is out cold! This one is all over!
