Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andre Kevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Herrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Javier Herrero has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Andre Kevin's chin.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kevin moves away from the strike by Herrero.
Herrero scores with a jab to the jaw.
Herrero throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Horrible takedown by Kevin or perhaps it was just good defense by Herrero which made him look bad.
Kevin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Herrero lands a lovely overhand right.

Kevin is rocked!
Herrero misses with a body shot.

Herrero cracks Kevin with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Herrero has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kevin to stand back up!
Oh Kevin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kevin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Herrero sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kevin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Herrero, pushing him back against the cage.
Kevin goes for a takedown attempt but Herrero pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Kevin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Herrero thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kevin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kevin seems to have got his legs back now.
Herrero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kevin's waist but Kevin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Herrero off to one side.
Kevin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Herrero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kevin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kevin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kevin shoots in but Herrero avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kevin is breathing heavily.
Herrero scores with the left hand. Kevin knows he should have avoided that one.
Herrero throws a looping overhand right but Kevin ducks down to avoid it.
Kevin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Herrero swivels and escapes.
Kevin throws a hook but Herrero blocks it.
Nice defenses there by Kevin.

Herrero cracks Kevin with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kevin looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Herrero finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kevin moves out of range as Herrero strikes.
Herrero just misses with a punch to the body.
Kevin shoots for a double leg takedown but Herrero sprawls well. He's pushed Kevin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Herrero drops Kevin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kevin looks back up at him and smiles so Herrero waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Herrero throws a low kick but Kevin avoids it.
Kevin shoots for a takedown but Herrero saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Herrero throws a sloppy head kick and Kevin moves out of range easily.

Herrero throws a hook but Kevin blocks it.
Kevin fails with a takedown attempt.
Herrero swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kevin.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kevin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Herrero fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kevin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Herrero fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kevin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kevin shoots in but no luck this time.
Herrero lands with a straight right. Kevin didn't see that one coming.
Kevin checks a low kick from Herrero.
Herrero is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kevin had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Herrero lands a head shot.
Herrero walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kevin drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Herrero swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kevin's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
