Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kim Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Cerdan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figueroa comes to the cage accompanied by Ride the Lighting. Cerdan has chosen French National Anthem as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerdan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Figueroa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cerdan circles away quickly and effectively.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cerdan checks a leg kick.

Cerdan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Figueroa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cerdan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A close round but Marcel Cerdan will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Cerdan moves forwards but Figueroa connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Marcel Cerdan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Figueroa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cerdan to score with a decent uppercut.
Figueroa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Figueroa is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cerdan.

It looks like Kim Figueroa has been cut.
Figueroa has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cerdan clobbers Figueroa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Figueroa is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Cerdan moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
