Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junior Padilla!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Padilla looks to score with a jab to the body but Rogers is just out of range.
Padilla fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Rogers clinches with his opponent.
Rogers misses with a punch to the body.
Rogers trying to stall but Padilla improves his position.
Padilla tries to break the clinch but Rogers is controlling the position.
Rogers lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Rogers lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Padilla breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rogers misses with the combination.
Rogers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Padilla.
Padilla misses the shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by Padilla.
Rogers fails with the takedown.
Padilla missing with a left hand there. Rogers was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rogers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Padilla jabs Rogers right on the nose. Rogers blinks but takes it well.

Rogers has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rogers has Padilla pushed against the cage.
Rogers prevents Padilla from breaking the clinch.
Padilla can't break the clinch.
Rogers keeps control of Padilla as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Padilla wants to break the clinch but can't.
Padilla wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Padilla can't break the clinch.
Padilla has had enough of the clinch but Rogers keeps him there for the moment.
Padilla is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Padilla is looking to break free of the clinch but Rogers has double underhooks.

Rogers pulls guard effortlessly.
Rogers on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rogers tries to get out of the position.
Rogers wants to stand up but Padilla is controlling him.

Padilla pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogers is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogers wants to get back to his feet but Padilla is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Padilla would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Padilla slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Padilla must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rogers wants to stand and escape but Padilla is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Padilla bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Rogers! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Padilla really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rogers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rogers wants to stand up but Padilla is controlling him.
Rogers is breathing heavily.
Padilla is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Padilla is standing up over Rogers. Rogers looks to escape but Padilla dives into side control.
Rogers tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Padilla decides to stand back up.
Padilla circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Junior Padilla dominated that round.
That's time! Rogers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Padilla ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Padilla is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rogers rather than just go for the knockout.
Rogers misses with a wild combination.
Rogers shoots in for a takedown but Padilla shows good takedown defense.
Padilla connects with a body shot.
Padilla throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Steve Rogers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Padilla fails to land with a series of punches.
Padilla throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Rogers colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Padilla as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Rogers is left battered and dazed whilst Padilla and his camp cheer!
