PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Augustas Macys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ding Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macys comes to the cage accompanied by Toxicity. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ding Lee!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macys gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Macys is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lee can't fight it off and eventually Macys manages to take the fight to the floor. Lee looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lee working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Macys.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee lands a decent shot there.
Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Macys manages to get himself to full guard.

Macys uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Macys closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee is looking to improve his position.
Macys throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Macys is working for an americana but Lee has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Macys was thinking about the submission.

Lee kicks Macys off and gets to his feet.

Lee throws a head kick but Macys moves out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Macys.
Lee wants to control but Macys postures up.
Lee is looking for a sweep.
Lee sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Lee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Macys.
Macys missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Macys blocks the strikes from Lee.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macys seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Macys throwing shots but Lee is blocking nicely.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Macys tries to stand and escape but Lee is controlling the position.
Macys is breathing heavily.

Macys stands up and beckons Lee to join him on the feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lee misses with a low kick.

Macys shoots in and bounces Lee off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lee is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lee seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Macys is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
