Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Sanuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Des Perado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanuka comes into the arena with The Kids Aren't Alright blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perado misses with a wild combination.
Des Perado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanuka closes this distance looking for a takedown but Perado circles away.
Perado looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sanuka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Perado swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sanuka moves in looking to clinch but Perado pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perado moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Joe Sanuka has been cut.

Perado closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Perado tries to break the clinch but Sanuka is controlling the position.
Sanuka keeps control of Perado as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Perado lands an elbow that stopped Sanuka in his tracks for a moment.
Sanuka is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Sanuka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Perado lands a nice looking body shot.

Sanuka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perado sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Perado wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Perado lands with a short shot to the head.
Sanuka is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Perado is keeping busy.
Perado is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Perado misses with a jab, cross combination.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sanuka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Perado as he avoids it easily.

Sanuka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Perado pinned against the cage. Perado gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sanuka is breathing heavily.
Perado throws a right and a left that both miss.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sanuka. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perado lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Sanuka falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
