Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikhail Nis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mikhail Nis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Nis looks to score with a jab to the body but Rogers is just out of range.
Nis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nis misses with a jab to the body
and Rogers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Rogers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nis.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A slow jab from Rogers misses its intended target.
Nice uppercut there from Rogers.
Rogers avoids the body shot from Nis.
Nis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rogers.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rogers connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nis scrambles back to his feet.
Nis swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Rogers counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Rogers throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rogers lands a jab.
Nis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rogers.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rogers lands with a nice body punch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nis swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Nis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Rogers dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Rogers throws a lazy right hand but Nis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rogers misses with a looping left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nis.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck for Nis with that takedown attempt.
Nis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Rogers misses with an uppercut. Nis saw that one coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rogers thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nis just misses with a punch to the body.
Nis throws a sloppy body shot
and Rogers counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rogers circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Nis to the canvas! Nis doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Rogers keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Rogers!
