PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between CoCo Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cleveland Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware throws the left hand but Brown avoids the punch easily.
Brown steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ware.
Ware gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Brown defending well as Ware loads up on a big left hand.
Ware throws a hook but Brown blocks it.
Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ware throws a jab when Brown was well out of range.
Ware throws a big shot that misses.
Ware misses the jab.
Ware misses with a low kick.
Brown wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Brown moves out of range as Ware strikes.
Brown throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ware stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ware wants to land a leg kick but Brown is out of range.
Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ware moves away.

Brown connects with a body shot.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Brown slips under a jab from Ware.
A combination from Brown does no damage.
CoCo Ware seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown looks to score with a jab to the body but Ware is just out of range.
Ware rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ware is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Brown.
Brown throws an overhand right that lands on Ware's shoulder, as Ware tries to avoid the shot.

Ware will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ware looks to land a right hand but Brown moved out of range.

Brown connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ware throws a front kick aimed at Brown's knee but Brown avoids it well.
Brown throws a right and a left that Ware avoids nicely.
Ware slips a jab and a cross from Brown.
Brown takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Brown lands a high kick to the side of Ware's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Brown dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like CoCo Ware has been cut.
Brown passes Ware's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ware manages to get to full guard.
Ware is breathing heavily.
Brown stays in close to Ware's body and controls the position.
Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Ware is retaining full guard.
Ware throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Ware lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brown!
Ware throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Brown regains half guard.
Ware thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brown's head.

Ware is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Brown has managed to free his arm - good work.
Ware is tying to control. Brown wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ware is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ware has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brown throws a left that rocks Ware and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Brown dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Ware regain composure!

Ware is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Oh Ware is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ware misses with a low kick.
Brown misses with a two punch combination.
Ware seems to have got his legs back now.
Brown moves out of range as Ware strikes.

Brown lands a head kick that stumbles Ware and the fighters go to the mat.
Ware looking for a sweep. Not yet Ware, not yet.
Brown wanted to stand there but Ware had control of the position.
Brown is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Ware trying to keep a closed guard but Brown is proving a slippery customer.
Brown must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ware escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brown gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brown decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ware waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Brown.
A jab from Ware finds it's way through Brown's defenses.

It looks like Cleveland Brown has been cut.
Brown bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ware throws a leg kick but Brown moved away.
Ware throws a combination that misses
and Brown cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ware is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Brown.
Ware swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brown moves out of range as Ware strikes.
Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ware connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ware lands a glancing blow to the side of Brown's head.

Cleveland Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

CoCo Ware's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Brown cracks Ware on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Ware falls backwards against the cage. Brown follows up with more strikes that drop Ware to his knees. Brown keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Ware! This one is all over!
