PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Cyothen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyothen has chosen 7lions - one man symphony as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cyothen lands a lovely overhand right.
Cyothen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Burns counters with a head kick. That will keep Cyothen thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cyothen drops Burns with a big left hand and mounts him. Burns is in big trouble!

Burns is rocked!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Burns is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Oh Burns is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cyothen is looking to stand but Cyothen has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Burns is in all sorts of trouble here.
Burns seems to have got his legs back now.
Burns is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cyothen prevents Burns from getting the reversal.
Cyothen looking to control but Burns is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Burns wants to get back to his feet.
Cyothen tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Cyothen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Burns tries to hold on but Cyothen pushes him away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cyothen lands with an uppercut that bounces Burns off the cage and back into range.
Cyothen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cyothen's corner calls for a 1-2. Cyothen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cyothen cracks Burns on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Burns falls backwards against the cage. Cyothen follows up with more strikes that drop Burns to his knees. Cyothen keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Burns! This one is all over!
