Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rosen Strasser!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Strasser counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Matt Buckner has been cut.
Buckner jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Buckner just misses with a punch to the body.
Buckner misses with a hook. Strasser ducked under it nicely.
Strasser avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Buckner walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Matt Buckner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buckner throws the left hand but Strasser avoids the punch easily.

and Strasser counters with a crisp one two that drops Buckner! Strasser thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Buckner to his feet! Buckner is in big trouble!

Strasser throws a nice looking combination but Buckner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Buckner throws out a leg kick but Strasser moves out of range and Buckner only half commits.
Buckner seems to have got his legs back now.

Strasser fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Strasser avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Strasser uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Buckner.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Buckner's corner calls for a 1-2. Buckner obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Buckner throws a looping overhand right but Strasser ducks down to avoid it.
Buckner is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Strasser's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Buckner loads up on a big right hand but Strasser slips the punch.
Buckner lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Strasser backs up against the cage.
Buckner doesn't manage to clinch there - Strasser circles away.

and Strasser counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Strasser fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Buckner looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Buckner misses with an uppercut. Strasser saw that one coming.
Strasser is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Strasser feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Buckners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Strasser is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Buckner had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Strasser avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Strasser bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Buckner's head.
Strasser has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Buckner closes the distance looking to clinch
and Strasser counters with a straight right hand.

enabling Strasser to counter with a crisp jab.
Strasser throws a predictable looking body shot
and Buckner counters with a nice leg kick.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Buckner swings for the body but Strasser moves out of range.
Strasser displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Buckner throws out the jab.
Buckner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rosen Strasser dominated that round.

The fighters circle momentarily. Strasser darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Buckner misses with a few strikes there.
Strasser blocks the body kick.
Buckner on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Strasser rushes Buckner with punches - Buckner moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Buckner goes down! Strasser follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rosen Strasser!
