PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Tasin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Najman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tasin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Watsky - Moral of the Story. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Najman drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tasin wants to sweep but no luck.
Najman trying to control the position from guard on top but Tasin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tasin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Najman moves into range and clinches up with Tasin.

Tasin is trying to drag Najman to the mat but Najman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Tasin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Najman postures up in Tasin's guard and throws a big left but Tasin blocks it.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tasin holds on and takes a little breather.
Tasin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Tasin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Najman's guard.
Tasin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Najman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tasin!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ground and pound from Najman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Tasin is trying to pull guard but Najman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Najman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tasin uses from the top position.

Tasin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Najman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
