PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdual Jemall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izaac Kari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kari has chosen Judas Priest - Painkiller as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Abdual Jemall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Izaac Kari!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jemall thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jemall fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A big left from Jemall misses.
Kari dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jemall. That did some damage!
A low kick from Kari is predictable there
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kari throws a body punch but Jemall moves out of range.
Jemall misses the jab.
Kari throws a low kick but Jemall avoids it.
Jemall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kari moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jemall has a takedown stuffed.
Jemall goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jemall takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jemall motions for Kari to come forward. Jemall throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kari misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jemall. Kari does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kari throws a jab but it's blocked by Jemall.
Kari scores with a nice head shot.
Kari defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jemall.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abdual Jemall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jemall tries to clinch but Kari moves out of range.
Jemall throws a hook but Kari blocks it.
Kari connects with a leg kick. Jemall looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jemall misses with a hook. Kari ducked under it nicely.
Kari slaps away a takedown attempt from Jemall, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jemall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jemall tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kari counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kari lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jemall at a distance.
Jemall is breathing heavily.
Jemall has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kari.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kari throws out a powerful jab.

Jemall is rocked!

It looks like Abdual Jemall has been cut.
Jemall takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Oh Jemall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jemall tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kari scoring well with a low kick there.
Jemall seems to have got his legs back now.
Jemall fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kari sends Jemall crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kari is motioning to the referee to let Jemall up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Jemall ducks into an uppercut from Kari and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
