Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Horizon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado comes to the cage accompanied by Bate Pesadão. Horizon has chosen Bring your whole crew as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Evan Horizon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horizon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Machado walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Horizon is defended easily by Machado.
Machado connects with a nice looking jab.
Horizon throws a hook but Machado blocks it.

It looks like Daniel Machado has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A telegraphed right hand from Machado misses the target.
Horizon ducks under a wild hook from Machado.
Horizon lands a glancing blow to the side of Machado's head.
Horizon throws a big shot that misses.

Machado clinches up against the cage.
Horizon is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Machado breaks from the clinch.
Horizon blocks a jab.
Horizon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Machado. That did some damage!

Machado walks into a straight right hand from Horizon.
Horizon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Machado sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Machado swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Horizon drops Machado with a left right combo! Horizon follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Oh Machado is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Machado tries to bench press Horizon off him but Horizon keeps the position.
Machado seems to have got his legs back now.
An elbow from Horizon crashes against the mat.
Horizon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Machado keeps working.
Horizon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Machado is letting Horizon control him for a moment.
Horizon wants to control but Machado is keeping him busy.
Machado tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Horizon wants to take a breather but Machado manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Horizon.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Evan Horizon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Horizon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Machado throws out the jab.
Horizon lands with an overhand left.
Machado moves in looking to clinch but Horizon pushes him off.
Horizon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Horizon staying out of range there.
Horizon has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Machado finds it's way round the side to connect with Horizon's head.

Horizon lunges at Machado with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Machado's hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horizon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Machado avoids it really well and circles away.
Machado scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Horizon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Machado.
Horizon lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Horizon lands a lovely overhand right.
Horizon thuds a left hand into Machado's body.
Machado has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Machado there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fighters circling - Machado throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Machado gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Horizon gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evan Horizon!
Evan Horizon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
