Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and darn fredrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.

fredrick decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
fredrick works his foot free and advances to mount.
Silva stops fredrick from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Silva is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

fredrick had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. fredrick Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.

A close round but darn fredrick will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

fredrick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well fredrick has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
