Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toni Tynkkynen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago Ferreira is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thiago Ferreira!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tynkkynen shoots for a double leg takedown but Ferreira sprawls well. He's pushed Tynkkynen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ferreira looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ferreira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tynkkynen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Ferreira as Tynkkynen shoots in.

Ferreira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tynkkynen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tynkkynen has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ferreira off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Tynkkynen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tynkkynen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ferreira is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ferreira and Tynkkynen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Tynkkynen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ferreira's shoulder. That is not cool.

Ferreira tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Tynkkynen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ferreira for as long as he can get away with.
