Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rob McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKenzie comes to the ring accompanied by Flower Of Scotland. Severn has chosen 50 cent ft mann - buzzin new song 2010 music video as his entrance music. Rob McKenzie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Severn!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McKenzie.

Severn shoots in and gets a takedown into McKenzie's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
McKenzie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

McKenzie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Severn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McKenzie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
McKenzie is looking to take a break and control but Severn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Severn is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but McKenzie is staying active.

We're going to have a standup here because Rob McKenzie wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Severn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McKenzie to the ground. Severn is now in McKenzie's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McKenzie is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Severn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rob McKenzie.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McKenzie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
