The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scamstone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kaayi lands with a kick to the temple. Scamstone shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Kaayi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Scamstone avoids it really well and circles away.

Kaayi sizes up Scamstone with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Kaayi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Scamstone as he jumps to the side.
Scamstone looks to land a combination but Kaayi avoids it well.

Scamstone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kaayi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Scamstone tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kaayi is in Scamstone's guard.

Kaayi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Scamstone throws a series of punches but Kaayi avoids them all with ease.
A combination from Scamstone does no damage.
Scamstone throws a right hand that Kaayi ducks under and follows up with a left that Kaayi also avoids with ease.
Scamstone misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kaayi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kaayi connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Scamstone to the floor! Kaayi dives in looking for the finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kaayi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Scamstone could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kaayi has cracked it and Scamstone is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kaayi!

A less than humble Hideya Kaayi misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
