The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verchanko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dantes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Verchanko jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Verchanko takes a kick to the side of the head.
Verchanko misses the jab.
Verchanko swings for the body but Dantes moves out of range.
Dantes connects with a solid leg kick.
Dantes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Verchanko's waist but Verchanko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dantes off to one side.
Dantes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Some wild striking there from Dantes.
Verchanko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Dantes lands with an overhand left.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Verchanko walks into a straight right hand from Dantes.

A jab from Dantes does it's job there.
Verchanko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dantes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Verchanko throws a shot from downtown. Dantes moves away and avoids it.
Ivan Verchanko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Dantes.

Verchanko is rocked!
Dantes lands a jab to Verchanko's midsection.
Ivan Verchanko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dantes scores with the left hand. Verchanko knows he should have avoided that one.

Dantes fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Verchanko to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Verchanko looks to clinch but Dantes throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Verchanko taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
