The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Linkman.
Linkman looks to throw a body kick
and Hogan counters with a nice body kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hogan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Linkman darts in and clinches Hogan up against the cage.
Linkman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Linkman decides to pull guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hogan throws a big elbow that misses.
Linkman is looking to sweep but instead, Hogan has passed into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Linkman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Linkman.

Linkman wants to stand but Hogan is controlling the position.
Hogan wants to control from the top but Linkman keeps moving.
Hogan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

We're going to have a standup here because Joe Hogan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
That kick from Linkman tenderised Hogan's leg. Hogan is trying to keep his angry face on.

Hogan tries to keep at a distance but Linkman has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hogan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Linkman on the ground.

Linkman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hogan manages to get himself to full guard.

Hogan fakes the leg kick and cracks Linkman in the body.

Linkman rushes Hogan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Hogan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Linkman gets underhooks to prevent Hogan's takedown attempt.

Hogan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hogan is looking to land body kicks.
Linkman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hogan.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Linkman shoots in looking for a takedown but Hogan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Linkman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Linkman shoots in for a double leg but Hogan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Linkman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hogan.
Hogan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Linkman tries to avoid it but Hogan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Linkman to the ground. Linkman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Linkman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hogan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Linkman pushes Hogan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Linkman wants to take the fight to the mat but Hogan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Linkman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Linkman. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hogan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Linkman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Linkman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hogan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hogan shrugs it off.
