Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nate Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Reyes swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch.
Reyes has Jones pressed against the cage.

Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Reyes can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Reyes looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Jones wants to take a breather but Reyes manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Jones.

Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Reyes has wrist control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Reyes clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Jones throws a series of strikes and Reyes wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
BOOM! Jones connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jones tries to land a knee to the head but Reyes blocks with his arms.

Reyes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reyes has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.
Reyes wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones wants to sweep here but Reyes controlling him for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reyes is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Nate Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones is pressing down on Reyes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reyes is holding on for now.
Reyes is trying to control but can't.
Jones tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Nate Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Reyes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Reyes.

Nate Jones showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
