Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Szymon Modry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamid Shalah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Modry comes to the cage accompanied by Behemoth "Lucifer". Szymon Modry has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Szymon Modry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hamid Shalah!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shalah circles away from the clinch attempt.
Modry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shalah manages to avoid it.
Modry cracks a nice hook into Shalah's ribs.

Shalah closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Modry bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Shalah throws a wild body kick that Modry sees coming a mile off.
Modry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shalah was well out of range. Poor timing from Modry.
Modry takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Modry gets a takedown into half guard.
Shalah holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Modry is looking for a kimura here.

Shalah looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Shalah regains full guard. Nicely done.
Modry trying to control the position from guard on top but Shalah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shalah looking to hit a scissor sweep but Modry is one step ahead there.
Modry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Modry drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Modry seems to have locked his on tight now - Shalah screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Modry, as he picks up the win!
