And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Purcell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kelvin checks a low kick from Purcell.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kelvin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Purcell is looking for a sweep. Kelvin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kelvin connects with a nice short shot to Purcell's temple.

Kelvin lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Kelvin is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Purcell has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Purcell is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Kelvin is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Purcell defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Kelvin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
