PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Horvat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stuchy Stuch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horvat comes into the arena with Dubioza kolektiv - Kažu blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stuch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Horvat looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Horvat takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Stuch lands a decent elbow from side control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stuch connects with a nice short shot to Horvat's temple.

Stuch wants to stand but Horvat has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Horvat is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stuch scores with a couple of nice shots.
Horvat is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stuch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stuch's back!

Horvat has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Stuch has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Stuch is looking for a sweep. Horvat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Stuch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Horvat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stuch clinches up with Horvat and pushes him back against the cage.
Stuch is pressed up against the cage. Horvat has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stuch down to the mat. Stuch avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Stuch closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Stuch throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Horvat tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stuch is in Horvat's guard.
