Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Farmery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gibbs drives through and clinches with Farmery against the cage.
Gibbs is trying to pull guard but Farmery turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gibbs pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Gibbs content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Gibbs lands an elbow just above Farmery 's eye.
Gibbs tries to circle away but Farmery has him pinned against the cage.
Farmery tries to score a body lock takedown but Gibbs shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Gibbs breaks the clinch.
Gibbs throws a head kick that misses.
Gibbs pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gibbs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gibbs misses with a low kick.

Gibbs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gibbs is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gibbs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Farmery moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gibbs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Farmery swivels and escapes.
Farmery slaps away a takedown attempt from Gibbs, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Gibbs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gibbs fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Farmery is out of range.
Gibbs tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gibbs dives in and grabs Farmery's left leg, looking for a takedown. Farmery pushes down on Gibbs's head and hops out.

Gibbs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gibbs doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Farmery counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gibbs won't be happy with that.
Gibbs is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Farmery has hold of Gibbs's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Gibbs tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Farmery cranks the arm and Gibbs screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gibbs, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
