Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Debtman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skip Nasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jake Debtman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Skip Nasty!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Debtman. No joy for Nasty on that attempt.
Debtman lands a jab to Nasty's midsection.
Nasty tries to bum rush Debtman with a series of wild strikes but Debtman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Debtman is defended easily by Nasty.
Debtman throws a good cross that connects.
Nasty takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Debtman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nasty's hands.
Nasty misses with a head kick.
Debtman fails with the takedown.
Nasty takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Debtman lands a nice hook to Nasty's body. Nasty takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Debtman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Debtman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nasty gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Debtman.
Nasty gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nasty throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nasty shoots for a double leg takedown but Debtman sprawls well. He's pushed Nasty's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nasty shoots in looking for a takedown. Debtman tries to sprawl out of it but Nasty keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Debtman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jake Debtman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Debtman finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nasty on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Debtman. Debtman obviously looking to wear him down.

Debtman rushes Nasty and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Debtman gets control of Nasty's arms and successfully pulls guard. Debtman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Nasty trying to control the position from guard on top but Debtman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Debtman pulls Nasty in close to prevent any damage.
Nasty must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Debtman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nasty is aware though and is defending well.
Nasty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Debtman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Debtman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nasty defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Debtman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Debtman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nasty sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Debtman somewhat.
Skip Nasty is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nasty tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Debtman swivels and escapes.

Debtman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nasty quickly recovers to half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Well, if Debtman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Debtman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nasty defends it well.
Nasty is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Debtman scores with a couple of nice shots.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Debtman connects with a nice short shot to Nasty's temple.

Nasty has hold of Debtman's hands but Debtman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Debtman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Debtman is working for a kimura but Nasty is defending it quite comfortably.
Debtman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nasty keeps working.
Debtman not landing any meaningful shots this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Debtman in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nasty tries to break the clinch but Debtman is controlling the position.

Nasty closes the distance and clinches up with Debtman, looking for a takedown. Nasty pushes Debtman against the cage but Debtman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Debtman moves into range and clinches up with Nasty.
Nasty has Debtman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Debtman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Jake Debtman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skip Nasty.

Debtman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Debtman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nasty uses from the top position.

Debtman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Debtman wants it to stay on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nasty is trying desperately to land a takedown but Debtman is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Nasty.
