The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cecere gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cecere bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Taphorn's head backwards.
Cecere misses with a head kick.
Cecere uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Taphorn.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cecere. Taphorn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cecere works the jab nicely.
Some wild striking there from Cecere.
Cecere throws out a loose jab but Taphorn uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nice uppercut lands for Cecere. That snapped Taphorn's head back.
Peter Taphorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cecere displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Taphorn throws out the jab.

Taphorn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cecere ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taphorn moves away.
Taphorn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Taphorn passes Cecere's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cecere is trying to control but can't.
Taphorn trying to control from half guard but Cecere is working away.
Taphorn seems to be looking for submissions.
Taphorn throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Cecere knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taphorn on the ground.
Taphorn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Cecere is staying active underneath Taphorn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cecere tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Taphorn has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Taphorn throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Cecere because Taphorn loaded up on that one.
A nice elbow there by Taphorn.

Cecere avoids a series of strikes thrown by Taphorn.
Taphorn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cecere is looking to escape.
Taphorn is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Taphorn!

Peter Taphorn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
