The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Damia scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Armstrong managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Damia.
Damia creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Armstrong sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Damia is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Armstrong will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
You can see the frustration on Armstrong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Damia works to advance to full mount. Armstrong defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Damia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
