PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Woko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mishima's choice of entrance music: All I Do Is Win. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mishima thows a leg kick but Woko checks it
and Woko counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Woko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mishima moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Woko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mishima.

Mishima tries to keep at a distance but Woko has taken the fight into the clinch.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mishima wants to control from the top but Woko keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mishima is standing up over Woko . Woko looks to escape but Mishima dives into side control.

Mishima is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Woko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mishima is in all sorts of trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poor strikes thrown by Woko there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Woko is landing with some decent strikes but Mishima is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenji Woko dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mishima is rocked!
No joy there for Woko , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mishima is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Woko moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
