Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Choppy Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Choppy Jensen!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones instigates a clinch.
Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jensen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Jones lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jensen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jensen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
Jensen stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jensen throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jensen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jensen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jensen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jensen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jensen escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Jensen stands up from Jones's guard - Jensen perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jensen on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jones wants to control from the top but Jensen keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jensen's waist but Jensen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jensen sneaks out the side door and pushes Jones away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Jones digs a good body shot into Jensen's ribs.
Choppy Jensen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Jones counters with a one-two to the body.
Randy Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jensen circles away.
Jones connects with a body shot.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jensen backs up against the cage.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jensen tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jensen to the ground. Jensen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jensen tries to stall but Jones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Jones jumps guard and drags Jensen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
