Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucifer Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snabbo Smido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's entrance music is Weapon of Choice. A fine choice. Smido comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Breathe kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Lucifer Jones has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Smido.

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smido moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smido has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Smido feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Smido changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Smido stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Smido is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Smido throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Smido.
Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Smido will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Smido changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Smido manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
