Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Bimp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty Canagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bimp throws a series of punches but Canagan avoids them all with ease.

Bimp gets tackled into the cage by Canagan. Canagan maintains the clinch.

Canagan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bob Bimp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Canagan.

Canagan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Canagan trying to control the action but Bimp is working from the bottom.
Canagan is just content to waste time from the top position. Bimp takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Canagan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Canagan looking to sit in guard and control but Bimp gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bimp is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Canagan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Canagan has escaped and now he's on top!

Canagan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bimp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Canagan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bimp keeping moving, preventing Canagan from controlling successfully.

Canagan gets to his feet. Bimp looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bimp checks a leg kick.

Canagan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Canagan lands in his opponent's guard.

Bimp is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Canagan defends well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Canagan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Canagan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Canagan looking to sit in guard and control but Bimp gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bimp postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bimp postures up in Canagan's guard and throws a big left but Canagan blocks it.
Canagan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bimp drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bimp jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Canagan throws a big elbow that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matty Canagan dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Canagan tries a head kick but it misses.
Bimp swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Canagan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bimp throws a right and a left that Canagan avoids nicely.
Canagan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bimp misses with a series of wild punches.

Canagan moves into the clinch.
Bimp can't break the clinch.

Canagan has picked Bimp up - he's going for a ride! Canagan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bimp is refusing to be controlled, as Canagan sits in half guard.
Matty Canagan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Canagan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bimp's head.

Canagan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bimp sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Canagan wants to control but Bimp is keeping him busy.
Canagan is just content to waste time from the top position. Bimp takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Bimp looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Canagan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Canagan content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bimp has locked up a guillotine! Bimp's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Canagan is holding on here and Bimp must be using up a lot of energy. Canagan has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bimp gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
