The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner thumps Reed with a low kick.
Gardner lands a nice hook to Reed's body. Reed takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Reed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gardner throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Reed throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Reed scores with a hook to the body. Gardner takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gardner throws a body punch but Reed moves out of range.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reed checks a leg kick.

Reed has closed the distance and engaged Gardner in a clinch.

Gardner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reed looks for the body kick but Gardner saw that one coming.

Gardner throws a nice outside leg kick.
Gardner connects with the punch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Reed.
Gardner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reed manages to avoid it.
Reed just misses with a punch to the body.

Reed tries to clinch there but Gardner circles away.
Gardner waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Reed.
Reed throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gardner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gardner misses with a hook.
Reed bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gardner's head backwards.
Gardner misses with a low kick.
Gardner throws a big shot that misses.
Gardner has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Reed finds it's way round the side to connect with Gardner's head.

It looks like Josh Gardner has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gardner looks to land a body kick but Reed moved away.
Reed keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Reed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gardner was well out of range. Poor timing from Reed.
Reed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gardner throws a body punch but Reed moves out of range.
Gardner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Reed scores with a push kick.
Reed throws a body kick that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gardner walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Gardner limp body while Reed jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
