Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yukio Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Estefan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has chosen Foo Fighters- My Hero as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yukio Mishima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Estefan Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sanchez throws a quick inside leg kick.
Sanchez lands with a right hand.
Sanchez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sanchez throws a nice inside leg kick.
Good leg kick by Sanchez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sanchez connects with a single shot there.
Mishima throws a sloppy head kick and Sanchez moves out of range easily.
Estefan Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sanchez keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Mishima decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Mishima wants to work for an arm triangle but Sanchez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sanchez wants to get back to his feet.

Mishima prevents Sanchez from improving his position.

Mishima decides to stand and escape the position.
Mishima takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mishima is looking to clinch but Sanchez is avoiding it.
Sanchez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mishima has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sanchez finds it's way round the side to connect with Mishima's head.
Sanchez connects with a solid leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sanchez.
Sanchez lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sanchez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mishima back to the cage. Sanchez follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mishima changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sanchez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sanchez is looking to reverse the position.

Mishima stands up.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sanchez.
Sanchez lands a nice shot that snaps Mishima's head back.
Mishima takes one on the button.
Mishima moves in looking to clinch but Sanchez pushes him off.
A left lands for Sanchez.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez cracks Mishima with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Sanchez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sanchez gets through Mishima's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mishima keeps the fight on the outside.
Sanchez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mishima on the side of the head.
Sanchez is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mishima had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Sanchez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mishima.
Sanchez lands with a nice combination. Mishima backs away looking to recover.
Sloppy strikes from Sanchez. Those never looked like landing.
Mishima looks to land a right hand but Sanchez moved out of range.
Sanchez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Mishima tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Sanchez lands with a kick to the temple. Mishima shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Sanchez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mishima moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mishima shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sanchez is trying to defend but Mishima finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sanchez tries to kick Mishima off in order to stand up. Mishima Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sanchez looks to move to half guard but instead Mishima has passed into mount! Damn!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Estefan Sanchez dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Sanchez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Estefan Sanchez seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sanchez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A lazy left from Sanchez finds it's target.
Sanchez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Sanchez catches Mishima with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Sanchez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Sanchez rushes Mishima and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sanchez breaks the clinch.
Sanchez scores with a punch to the head.

Mishima slips a jab and a cross from Sanchez.
A punch lands to the side of Mishima 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sanchez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mishima's sensitive parts.
Sanchez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mishima's hands.
Mishima misses with a two punch combination.
Sanchez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sanchez lands a leg kick that knocks Mishima off balance momentarily.
A punch lands to the side of Mishima 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sanchez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sanchez cracks Mishima with an open hand slap.
Sanchez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mishimas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Sanchez scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Sanchez scores with a nice right hand.
Mishima stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sanchez.
Sanchez lands a body shot.
Mishima takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez lands a lovely overhand right.
Sanchez clobbers Mishima with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mishima on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Mishima gets a double leg takedown into Sanchez's guard.
Sanchez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sanchez wants to stand up but Mishima is controlling him.
Sanchez wants to control the position but Mishima says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mishima not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sanchez wants to stand back up but Mishima manages to pass into side control.
Mishima creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sanchez sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
A lull in the action here as Mishima stalls from top position.
Sanchez is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Sanchez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ground and pound from Mishima seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Mishima throws a strike aimed at the side of Sanchez's head but Sanchez avoids it well.

Mishima decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sanchez to his feet.
Sanchez tries to bum rush Mishima with a series of wild strikes but Mishima uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sanchez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mishima is looking to clinch.
Sanchez tries to clinch up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sanchez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mishima manages to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanchez scores with a jab to the jaw.
Mishima takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Estefan Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Sanchez's corner calls for a 1-2. Sanchez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sanchez connects with a looping right hand.
Mishima is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Sanchez lands with an uppercut that bounces Mishima off the cage and back into range.

Mishima feints and as Sanchez raises his hands in defense, Mishima changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sanchez looking for a sweep. Not yet Sanchez, not yet.
Sanchez wants to stand but Mishima is controlling the position.
Sanchez wants to improve his position but instead Mishima has moved into half guard.

Mishima stands up out of the half guard.
Sanchez connects with a looping right hand.
Sanchez lands with a good body shot.
Yukio Mishima is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sanchez misses with a wild combination.
Estefan Sanchez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sanchez cracks Mishima with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Nice cross by Sanchez.
Sanchez chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sanchez feints and then cracks Mishima's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mishima down.
Sanchez throws a hook but Mishima avoids it easily.
Mishima takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sanchez misses with a two punch combination.
Mishima throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sanchez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sanchez moves into range and connects with a jab.
Sanchez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Sanchez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Sanchez rushes Mishima and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sanchez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mishima takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sanchez lands an overhand right.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sanchez scores with a jab. Mishima acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Sanchez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sanchez is looking to slow Mishima down with leg kicks.
Sanchez throws a good cross that connects.
Nice shot by Sanchez.
Mishima avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez sizes up Mishima with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Mishima takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fighters circling - Sanchez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mishima slips a straight right by Sanchez.
Mishima shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl out of it but Mishima keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanchez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mishima takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Sanchez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez tries to clinch but Mishima is having none of it.
Mishima gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sanchez tries to clinch there but Mishima circles away.
Mishima takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sanchez lands with an uppercut that bounces Mishima off the cage and back into range.
Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Mishima pushes him off.
Sanchez connects with a leg kick. Mishima looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Horrible takedown by Mishima or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanchez which made him look bad.
Mishima takes one on the chin but seems OK.

And that's the end of the fight!
Estefan Sanchez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Sanchez winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Estefan Sanchez spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
