Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Stefaniak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gunn might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stranglehold- by Ted Nugent. Kyle Gunn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Gunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karl Stefaniak!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Stefaniak to counter with a crisp jab.
Horrible takedown by Gunn or perhaps it was just good defense by Stefaniak which made him look bad.
Stefaniak takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gunn takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gunn walks into a left hand.
Gunn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gunn throws a hook to the side of Stefaniak's head but Stefaniak sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gunn looks for a takedown but Stefaniak sprawls well.
Gunn thumps Stefaniak with a low kick.
Stefaniak chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gunn can pounce on him.
Gunn misses the shot to the body.
A jab from Gunn finds it's way through Stefaniak's defenses.
Stefaniak stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stefaniak wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Gunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stefaniak lands a nice looking body shot.
Gunn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gunn misses with a takedown attempt - Stefaniak sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gunn closes the distance and clinches up with Stefaniak, looking for a takedown. Gunn pushes Stefaniak against the cage but Stefaniak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Stefaniak - that will leave a mark!
Stefaniak throws a nice looking combination but Gunn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Stefaniak throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gunn paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Stefaniak lands with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stefaniak bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gunn takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Stefaniak is looking to score with low kicks.
A head kick misses from Gunn.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gunn.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stefaniak gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gunn.
Gunn lands with an uppercut that bounces Stefaniak off the cage and back into range.
Gunn defending well as Stefaniak loads up on a big left hand.
Gunn fakes the leg kick and cracks Stefaniak in the body.
Gunn walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gunn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stefaniak.
Some wild striking there from Stefaniak.
Gunn throws a right hand that Stefaniak ducks under and follows up with a left that Stefaniak also avoids with ease.
Stefaniak waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gunn.
Stefaniak scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Stefaniak staying out of range there.
A punch combination from Gunn misses.
Gunn tries to clinch but Stefaniak moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stefaniak misses with a straight right.
Gunn displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Stefaniak takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Stefaniak misses with a few strikes there.
Stefaniak tries to land a front kick but Gunn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Stefaniak throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Gunn fails with a takedown attempt.
Gunn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gunn lands a head kick!
Gunn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gunn misses with an uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gunn slips under a jab.
Stefaniak bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gunn on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


Gunn is rocked!
Stefaniak feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Gunn crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Karl Stefaniak!
A very excited looking Karl Stefaniak made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
