Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darth Paduwan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paduwan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bitch. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darth Paduwan !
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Paduwan moves into the clinch.

Paduwan manages to break the clinch.
Paduwan misses with a low kick.
Alves shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Paduwan pinned against the cage. Paduwan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Paduwan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alves is defended easily by Paduwan .
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Alves or perhaps it was just good defense by Paduwan which made him look bad.
Alves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Paduwan but Paduwan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Alves is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A punch lands to the side of Alves 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Alves connects with a leg kick. Paduwan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Darth Paduwan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Paduwan misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Paduwan lands an elbow just above Alves 's eye.
Alves wants to take the fight to the mat but Paduwan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Paduwan can't find room to land a body shot as Alves controls the action.
Paduwan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Alves.
Paduwan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

It looks like Hector Alves has been cut.
Alves takes an elbow to the forehead.
Alves drops down looking for an ankle pick but Paduwan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Paduwan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Paduwan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Alves tries to score a body lock takedown but Paduwan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Alves drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Paduwan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Paduwan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Alves ducks under a wild hook from Paduwan .

Alves takes the fight into the clinch.
Alves avoids the elbow strike from Paduwan , against the cage.
Alves is looking to take this one to the mat.
Paduwan misses with a body punch.
Alves tries for a takedown but Paduwan manages to get underhooks.
Paduwan lands a damaging elbow.

Alves gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Paduwan regains guard.

Alves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Paduwan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alves stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paduwan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Alves is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Paduwan has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alves accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Alves sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Paduwan 's guard.
