Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Manson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manson steps into range and cracks Thompson with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Thompson flops backwards and Manson dives into his guard looking to finish!

Thompson is rocked!

Thompson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Oh Thompson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Thompson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Manson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Manson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Manson!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Thompson shoots for a takedown but Manson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Manson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thompson moves away.
Charles Manson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson shoots in but no luck this time.
Manson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thompson.

Manson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Thompson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tommy Thompson will probably get the nod.
