Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Evan Better (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Turnbuckle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Better might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mother by Danzig. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Better!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Turnbuckle!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Better moves out of range of the strikes.

Better has closed the distance and engaged Turnbuckle in a clinch.
Turnbuckle swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Better breaks from the clinch.
Turnbuckle keeps the fight on the outside.

Better has closed the distance and engaged Turnbuckle in a clinch.
Better tries to pull guard but Turnbuckle holds him up against the cage and eventually Better drops back down to his feet.

Better pulls guard.
Turnbuckle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Better swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Turnbuckle won't allow Better to get back to his feet.
Better pulls Turnbuckle in to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Better slips under a jab from Turnbuckle.
Some wild striking there from Turnbuckle.
Turnbuckle throws a leg kick but Better checks it.
Turnbuckle throws a shot from downtown. Better moves away and avoids it.

Better moves into the clinch successfully.

Better has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Turnbuckle is trying to keep an underhook but Better manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turnbuckle misses with a wild body shot.
Dexter Turnbuckle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Better with a poor takedown
and Turnbuckle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Turnbuckle just misses with a punch to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Better tries to score a power double leg takedown but Turnbuckle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Better somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan Better. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turnbuckle throws a body punch but Better moves out of range.
Better bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Turnbuckle misses with a looping right.
Turnbuckle is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Turnbuckle slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Turnbuckle pulls Better in close to his closed guard and prevents Better from doing any damage or advancing position.
Turnbuckle working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Better.
Turnbuckle wants to sweep but no luck.
Better trying to control but Turnbuckle is working from the bottom.

Better is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Better seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Evan Better wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Turnbuckle misses with a low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Better instigates a clinch.

Better jumps guard.

Evan Better dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Better fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Turnbuckle misses with a straight right.
Better tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turnbuckle paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Better shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Turnbuckle is trying to defend but Better finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Better wants to stand up but Turnbuckle manages to regain full guard.
Better throws a big right hand that misses.
Better trying to control but Turnbuckle is working from the bottom.

Turnbuckle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Turnbuckle tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Better is able to avoid easily.
Turnbuckle misses with an uppercut. Better saw that one coming.
The fighters circling - Turnbuckle throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Better dips to his left and cracks Turnbuckle with an uppercut!
Turnbuckle looks to land a combination but Better avoids it well.
Turnbuckle misses with a lunging right hand
and Better counters with a head kick. That will keep Turnbuckle thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Better counters with a low kick, right behind Turnbuckle 's knee.

Better shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Better showed some decent athleticism there.
Better not doing much here.

Turnbuckle is looking to control Better's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turnbuckle avoid being mounted?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turnbuckle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Better.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Better is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Better on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Turnbuckle. Turnbuckle obviously looking to wear him down.
Turnbuckle swings for the body but Better moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Turnbuckle doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Better pulls guard effortlessly.
Turnbuckle trying to control but Better is working from the bottom.
Better manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Turnbuckle manages to get himself to full guard.

Better throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Turnbuckle works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Better has gone for a leg lock! Turnbuckle slips out almost immediately though and dives into Better's guard.
Better managing to control the position.
Dexter Turnbuckle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Evan Better.
Better uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Turnbuckle.

Turnbuckle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Better, pushing him back against the cage.
Turnbuckle is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Turnbuckle is looking to control Better's arms but Better gets an underhook and turns him. Now Turnbuckle has his back to the cage.
Better can't get the takedown.
Turnbuckle struggles to land a body shot inside as Better controls his hands.

Better blocks an uppercut.

Better pulls Turnbuckle into guard.
Turnbuckle passes Better's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Better regains full guard. Nicely done.
Evan Better is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Better controls Turnbuckle momentarily but Turnbuckle frees himself.
Better is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Turnbuckle is controlling him.
Turnbuckle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Better manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Turnbuckle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Better looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Turnbuckle throws a low kick but Better moves out of range easily.
Dexter Turnbuckle seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Turnbuckle smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Better has his takedown stuffed
and Turnbuckle makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan Better. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Turnbuckle tries to land a leg kick but Better saw it coming and moves away.
Better shoots in for a takedown but Turnbuckle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Dexter Turnbuckle.
I think Better has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Evan Better misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
