The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tomba looks to throw the jab but Bunting is out of range.

and Bunting counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Bunting creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Tomba sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Bunting laying and praying for a moment but Tomba takes advantage and regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Bunting dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bunting loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bunting throws an elbow that misses. Tomba uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bunting's guard. Nice move by Tomba!
Bunting lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tomba!
Bunting has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
