The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGraw tries to bum rush Ivanov with a series of wild strikes but Ivanov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ivanov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McGraw paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ivanov moves to clinch but McGraw breaks away
and McGraw counters with a one-two to the body.
Ivanov throws a series of strikes that have McGraw backpedaling.
Ivanov tries to clinch up.

McGraw moves into the clinch successfully.
Ivanov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McGraw smiles and moves away.
McGraw tries for a takedown but Ivanov circles away easily
and Ivanov counters with a left and a right that stings McGraw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGraw dodges the punch combination from Ivanov.
McGraw leaves Ivanov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McGraw shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ivanov pinned against the cage. Ivanov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan McGraw. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ivanov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ivanov throws a one two combo.
Oh McGraw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McGraw throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ivanov lands a brutal head kick. McGraw looks out on his feet and Ivanov throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Brigadir Ivanov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
