Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Agapit Blondi!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blondi dives in and grabs Ik's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ik pushes down on Blondi's head and hops out.
Blondi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A low kick from Blondi is predictable there
and Ik counters with a single leg into guard. Blondi didn't expect that.
Ik showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Blondi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ik scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Ik works over Blondi with some ground and pound from guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ik slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ik is looking to work some ground and pound but Blondi has wrist control.
Ik's corner is telling him to maintain position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Blondi misses the shot to the body.

and Ik counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ik landing some decent shots from guard.
Ik lands a couple of elbows.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blondi has momentary wrist control but Ik slips an elbow through the middle.
Ik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blondi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Blondi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ik is aware though and is defending well.
Ik scoring with some ground and pound.
Ik chips away with some ground and pound.
Ik cracks Blondi with a solid left hand.
Blondi is rocked!
Ik arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Blondi's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Aapo Ik!
