Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgruger throws a head kick that misses.
Gordon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mcgruger pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gordon back to the cage. Mcgruger follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mcgruger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mcgruger dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gordon. That did some damage!
Gordon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mcgruger could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mcgruger is trying to break the clinch but Gordon has him pressed against the cage.
Gordon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mcgruger fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Gordon walks into a straight right hand from Mcgruger.
Mcgruger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A head kick from Mcgruger lands but Gordon takes it in his stride.
Mcgruger misses with a double jab.
Mcgruger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Mcgruger lands a slapping body shot.
Mcgruger throws out a powerful jab.
Nice body kick there by Mcgruger.
Mcgruger connects with a crisp jab.
Mcgruger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gordon moves away.
Randy Mcgruger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcgruger bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gordon's head backwards.

Mcgruger is looking to clinch.
Mcgruger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mcgruger paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gordon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Mcgruger lands with a thumping leg kick.

Mcgruger takes the fight into the clinch.
Mcgruger can't break the clinch.
Gordon breaks the clinch.
Mcgruger moves into the clinch successfully.
Gordon lands a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gordon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
It looks like Randy Mcgruger has been cut.
Mcgruger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gordon on the ground.

Gordon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Randy Mcgruger's cut is getting worse.
Mcgruger looking to control.
Mcgruger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gordon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Gordon stands up over Mcgruger, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Randy Mcgruger's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Randy Mcgruger's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
