Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrison has chosen Living in Chaos as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sid Morrison!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maia counters with a two punch combo.
Morrison has his takedown stuffed
and Maia counters with a body kick.
Morrison shoots and misses
and Maia counters with a straight right hand.
John Maia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sid Morrison.
Morrison misses with a takedown
and Maia counters with a nice leg kick.
Sid Morrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morrison tries to clinch up
and Maia counters with a nice uppercut.
Morrison tries for a takedown but Maia circles away easily
and Maia counters with a series of strikes. Morrison will be more careful next time no doubt.

Morrison drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Morrison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Maia knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Maia tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Morrison presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maia is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Morrison in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Maia gets back to full guard.
Maia wants to sweep but no luck.

Maia has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Morrison should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Maia has tightened it up now! Morrison should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
