The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koetsuji throws out a loose jab but Lebow uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lebow keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Koetsuji goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Lebow gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Koetsuji to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Koetsuji tries to free his leg and advance position but Lebow is retaining full guard.
Koetsuji controlling from the top position.
Lebow wants to stand and escape but Koetsuji is having none of it.
Lebow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Koetsuji passes Lebow's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Koetsuji is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lebow sees it coming and defends easily.

Lebow wants to improve his position but Koetsuji is controlling well.

Koetsuji is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lebow doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Koetsuji.

Lebow is looking for a sweep. Koetsuji is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Koetsuji lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Koetsuji is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Koetsuji is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lebow defends it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Koetsuji works his foot free and advances to mount.
Lebow bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lebow trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Koetsuji had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lebow defends it easily.
Koetsuji pulls Lebow in close to prevent any damage.
Koetsuji preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Koetsuji lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lebow!
The referee warns Lebow that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Koetsuji has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lebow takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Koetsuji's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
